Welcome to Geek Fights, I’m Mike Ortiz bringing you some exciting news, 

Were back!

Yes you heard it Geek Fghts is back, but with a twist. We are now part of the Freebooters Network!. The Freebooters Network is a umbrella for a bunch of geek themed podcast, We are happy to add out unique voice to this already fantastic chorus of geeky love. The freebooters network is a single feed that contains our show, plus other shows like herman and sidekick boy, Anonymous Tabletop and Exploding Dice Radio, both gaming podcast, Nerfherders an general geekery podcast and more! 

Now that means the new episodes won’t be a part of this feed. This feed will stay where it is, continuing to bring you what we are now calling, Geek Fights The Original Series, but we really want to to go ahead and subscribe to the Freebooters Network and try the rest of the awesome podcasts we bring you every month. While we do want those of you subscribed to this old feed to subscribe to the new one, we are going to release the first few episodes hers as well to let you know what you are in for. 

There are some technical difficulties on this one (when weren’t there and we are a bit rusty, well release a couple more here to get you interested, but please after listening tot his of check out the second new geek fights episode best marvel movie, already available in the freebooters feed, and then in a couple of weeks, we will finally be doing the long promised, best vehicle.

So i hope all of you that supported us, will continue to do so at our new home, as well as all of our new sibling podcasts. 

We aren’t just keeping this feed alive for the old stuff, we will be releasing some new podcast experiments that may just lead to a new show using various Geek Fights alumni and more

We end the year with Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz and Jason Thompson, stepping up and sharing their views that seem to run contrary to what they are seeing online. specifically the negativity aimed at DC Comics. Unlike the many blogs, websites and podcasts that have been critical of DC, We actually like what they are doing and support many of the choices they have made. We also think there are a lot of people who agree and want to give voice to the other side of the argument.

Hey it's rerun time on TV, so why not here. Representing the 2012 Mailroom Holiday special featuring mailroom employee Allen as he learns the true meaning of Xmas. If anyone knows of an opening in a mailroom, that doesn't require sobriety and allows the occasional tryst with a big booty milf, then drop Allen a line.

Anyway hers the show. Nothing new added, just represented for you holiday pleasure.

We weren't joking. Every year, we are running this episode just like real holiday specials on TV. We'll add something, first it was Allen remastering the audio and adding an intro and easter eggs. Then it was Mike doing a commentary on the episode. This year we added a little something new too. The old stuff as always is Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Kathy Lehman, Tess Craft and Allen discussing the BEST HOLIDAY SPECIAL OR MOVIE. 

Bah humbug!

This episode Christy Wooke, Damon Shaw, and Josh VanValkenburg spit knowledge at you about Christmas,George, and Quokka's all stuff you didn't need to know but now you do!

So Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz and Jason Thompson sat down and watched 1988's Willow from George Lucas and Ron Howard. They hadn't seen it in 25 years or so. they all think they liked it then but remember very little. Listen as they watch for the first time in ages and give their thoughts about the movie, the Wolverine, the demise of action movies, the demon inside Val Kilmer and much more that has nothing to do with the movie/

Join Damon Shaw, Chris Mitchell and Anthony Valenta as they provide commentary over Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. Yes THAT Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. Really. I'm not sure why either. Just listen, it's gotta be better than last weeks episode right?

Galavanting around the internet is a game for the young. That doesn't stop old farts like Mike Ortiz, Kathy Lehman and Pete Lucas from representing the over 40 crowd. Mostly they talk about conventions. No profanity really, or any kind of offensiveness. Kinda dull. These geriatrics are not an exciting bunch. Unless you are on their lawn, then they go apesh!t.

This may be the end of our streak. There has been something in our feed every week since June 2010 and if this is how we end it that's okay with me! In this episode Josh, Christy, and Damon will learn you more internet facts!! Like how long a pig orgasms and all about Allen's favorite president LBJ.

The best part of this panel is we didn't know a single person on it when we started Geek Fights and 3 out of the 4 I would consider to be good friends 2 I've met in person and that fourth person was a first timer! I'm gonna miss this.... anyway enjoy!
