Geek Fights 133: Best Santa
Tuesday Dec 25, 2012
Tuesday Dec 25, 2012
Once a year an elderly fat man in red traverses the globe violating airspace and nearly triggering a nuclear holocaust just to bring toys to mostly undeserving children. You know to cover that much ground he must be either traveling at an incredible velocity, risking massive shockwaves or using some sort of warp technology and risking a wormhole implosion that could suck the entire planet into a black hole. All in all a pretty risky endeavor any way you slice it. Sounds like some sort of thrill seeking adrenaline junkie to me. In honor of that spirit, Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Allen, Brian Townsend and Josh Vanvalkenburg bring you BEST SANTA. Ho ho ho. Stuff your stocking with these lovely holday brackets: PDF and Excel format.

Geek Fights Bonus: Star Wars: Who Really Shot First
Wednesday Nov 21, 2012
Wednesday Nov 21, 2012
IT'S STAR WARS WEEK. Star Wars week ends as we tackle the greatest Star Wars controversy ever. We all know Han shot first, but George Lucas insists that Greedo shot first. Geek Fights undertook and investigation and found something shocking... This video is for parody purposes. We claim no copyrights to any of this. All copyrights are owned by large well lawyered corporations that would crush us if we implied otherwise. But the more they tighten their grasp, the more videos will slip through their fingers. Damn that's copyrighted too. Skip that last part. I just hope they have a sense of humor. If they strike us down, we will become more powerful than they can possibly imagine. A sparkly blue ghost. Yeah that's copyrighted too. Help us fair use parody exemption, you're our only hope.

Geek Fights 119: Best Of John Williams
Tuesday Sep 18, 2012
Tuesday Sep 18, 2012
Only a few people have truly defined the modern geek experience. Lucas, Roddenberry, Asimov, Bradbury, Spielberg, Whedon, Lee, Kirby, Tolkien and others, but none has touched as wide a range as the subject of this weeks Geek Fight. He not only provided the soundtracks to Star Wars, Superman, Jaws, Close Encounters, Raiders of the Lost Ark, ET and Harry Potter, he damn near provided the soundtrack for being a geek. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Michael Felsher (maybe?) Dominick Williams and Chris Fiore as they sing the praises of the BEST OF JOHN WILLIAMS. We don't know what was up with Michael, don't ask. Maybe John Williams awesomeness made is so he couldn't spew any hate and his brain imploded. Maybe he was just having fun. I'm not sure, but if John Williams did the soundtrack to this episode it would be awesome. If John Williams wanted to do a Geek Fights theme, we would probably have to dump Jerad's intros. Sorry Jerad, maybe we just make them the break. We love you, but it's John "I did the score for Star Wars AND Raiders AND Superman AND Jaws AND Harry Potter AND a lot more, and you didn't, so step the f*ck off" Williams. Hell if he wanted to host or co-host the show we'd have to let him. His geek cred is that strong. After all He is John "Didn't you see my cred in my last quotation mark middle name" Williams. Brackets as usual: PDF and Excel format.

Geek Fights 118: Best Fictional Athlete
Tuesday Sep 11, 2012

Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Chuck Farrell, Jeff Gunter and Kirky Wade as they discuss the BEST FICTIONAL ATHLETE. This time for real. No fake outs. Sweep the leg. Run Forest run. Eye of the tiger. We all know magic is for f*gs. Brackets as usual: PDF and Excel format.

Geek Fights 117: Best 6th String Star Trek Character
Tuesday Sep 04, 2012
Tuesday Sep 04, 2012
We often talk about the lead characters, but it's time for a look at the smaller characters. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Christy Wooke, Jerad Formby, Chris Wood and special guest, author Larry Nemecek as they discuss what we have come to call the BEST 6TH STRING STAR TREK CHARACTER. Those ones with less than 10 appearances, but even with those few appearances, they left a big impression. Holograms, parents, villains, Khan. Wait how is Khan a 6th string character? Sure it's technically only 2 appearances but one of them was a movie with his name in the title! How is that a minor character? Brackets as usual: PDF and Excel format.

Geek Fights 116: Best Mentor
Tuesday Aug 28, 2012
Tuesday Aug 28, 2012
They are teachers, guides, masters and trainers. Not Geeks Fights. We will not help you on your journey. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Jill Valuet, Maria Cuba and Ben McCullough as they discuss the BEST MENTOR. Yes Mike put himself on the list again. There's words of wisdom aplenty, people get all teary, and for some reason Bane shows up. I'm not sure why. He's not a mentor. I guess he is Geek Fights' reckoning. Brackets as usual: PDF and Excel format.

Tuesday Aug 21, 2012
It's geezers vs kids. We take a look at one of the all time big questions, not just for geekdom. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Paul Kowalski, John Champion and Dominic Williams as they do an old stye, no bracket versus episode with OLD VS NEW. It's classics vs young guns. Nostalgia vs newstalgia. Timeless icon vs young upstarts, Tired interpretations vs fresh visions. And yes, there's both Star Wars and Star Trek, and oddly lots of Batman. Geek Fights Comic Book Club: The Infinity Gauntlet
Friday Aug 17, 2012
Friday Aug 17, 2012
It's the first ever Geek Fights Comic Book Club. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Jeremy Sacher, Anthony and Darnell Lee as they discuss the sprawling cosmic epic, Marvel Comics' THE INFINITY GAUNTLET by Jim Starlin, George Perez, Ron Lim and Joe Rubenstien. How does this tour de force for the villain Thanos (the guy from the end credits of Avengers) hold up 20 years after its publication? How did it change comics? Why are the backgrounds so white? Why are the PEOPLE so white? Seriously there are more green people in this book than black people.
